Yellow Labrador Retriever. Although Mom and Dad say I'm the
princess.......little do they know I really am the queen of the Mist !
Yes, they named me after the falcon. There is a picture of my namesake in our banner above.
I am now 3 years old and am a svelte 100 lbs. As much as I love living at the Mist, there is one other resident that I have been having some trouble with . . . the copperhead snakes. They seem to want to take a bite of me (twice this year). Their bites make me very sick for a while, but I am feeling better and now I try to avoid them as much as possible.

My mother gave me a copy of Marley and Me by John Grogan, she told me it would make me laugh and it would make me cry. I laughed more than I cried. Having Kestrel, as part of the family, and the book being about a yellow Labrador Retriever being part of a family, it seemed like a natural read for me. One thing it made me do was appreciate Kes for the independent, relatively calm girl she is. You don't have to have a Labrador Retriever to relate to this book, really anyone who owned any dog could relate to this wonderfully written saga. This is one book that touched me to my very soul. The book talks about unconditional love and that it appears in many forms.
This is a Must Read for all animals lovers.
